Amazon and Iguazu Falls

After a wonderful visit to the Pantanal the next stop was Cristalino Lodge in the Amazon and then to a place we love, Iguazu Falls. The Amazon was brilliant and lodge a super base for our adventures. The jungle was dense and the sounds of birds and monkeys was a constant reminder of the isolation around us. We had many encounters with unique animals such as tapir, spider monkeys and saki monkeys. And finally, an aracari!

Iguazu Falls are absolutely the most dramatic and impressive of the big falls. We have experienced Niagara and Victoria but Iguazu is in a class of its own. A beautiful place to explore and to recharge before travelling south to Argentina and join up with our Antarctic cruise. A special highlight was to see the Falls on a super moon.
